Why ?... you can have millions of answers... Wiki is telling us that for... mathematics, computer science, telecommunication, and information theory, error detection and correction has great practical importance in maintaining data integrity across noisy channels and less-than-reliable storage media... (short and clever... I love Wiki)... but...
For us... in a day to day life... is to improve our lives ... to create a better world (sound so ... but is true)... and to shut off all these "noisy channels" that disturb us in so many ways...
I agree is a BIG subject but if you have anything bother you... your life... your job... your holiday... please report it here... and try this way to find people that can correct these things...
We can live... together... in a better way ... if we help ourselves... and one each other...
